They Went to Calvert First

Meredith Good-Cohn '07

Washington, DC
From their first days at Calvert School, boys and girls make connections with their community. They make lunches, contribute to clothing drives, and participate in outreach. The importance of service is taught, reinforced and modeled. Beyond Calvert, they become active and engaged participants in the world around them.  Meredith Good-Cohn carried these values all the way to Capitol Hill where she served as health policy staff on the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. Today, she is Special Assistant to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate to give at-risk children in foster care a voice in Court. Today’s civic leaders were yesterday’s students. Meredith Good-Cohn’s yesterday began at Calvert School.
