Jon Meredith '84 Named Head of School at Charleston Day School
Congratulations to Jon Meredith '84 who was appointed the next Head of School at Charleston Day School, a Kindergarten through Eighth Grade independent school located in Charleston, SC! Jon brings three decades of experience as an educator to his new role. The announcement from Charleston Day School's Board of Trustees states, "Jon has a deep love for and familiarity with the K-8 model having attended the Calvert School in Baltimore."
For the past 14 years, Jon has served as the Middle School Director at Durham Academy in Durham, NC where he's led tremendous programmatic and curricular growth as well as overseen the construction of state-of the-art new Middle School facilities. Prior to his time at Durham Academy, Jon taught history and served as Middle School Director at Frederica Academy in St. Simons Island, GA.
Moving into his new role as Head of School at Charleston Day will be a bit of a homecoming. "I'm very excited to be re-joining the K-8 world," Jon shared.
