Part-Time Certified Athletic Trainer
Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, has an opening for a temporary part-time Middle School Athletic Training for the Spring 2025 sports season. The season will start mid-February and end late-May. The trainer will attend all afternoon practices and home games throughout the season.

Calvert has a robust athletics program for our middle school students in Sixth through Eighth Grades.
Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola University Maryland. The campus is easily accessible from Charles Street and I-83.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop plans for providing athletic training coverage at all interscholastic athletic events and practices.
- Attend all afternoon practices and home games throughout the season.
- Work collaboratively with our coaches and athletes and conduct and supervise students overseeing injury prevention, injury management, and immediate care and rehabilitation of injuries.
- Provide ongoing supervision of students to ensure compliance with treatment plans and standard operating procedures outlined by the sports medicine physicians as required by Maryland State Practice Act.
- Consult with Administration, Director of Athletics, and School Nurse when students sustain injuries. Maintain thorough medical records on all injuries and rehabilitation procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related discipline.
- Certification from the National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
- Licensed in the State of Maryland.
- CPR/AED certified.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be very dependable.
- Must have the ability to work with independence in dealing with the diverse elements of the academic environment. This position requires absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
Calvert School offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The salary range is $35.00 per hour to $50.00 per hour and is based on years of experience, education, and job-related responsibilities. Pro-rated sick and safe leave benefits are offered along with a 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan.
