A sort of Homecoming

Hello Beekeepers!

The rainy weather of the last days has finally decided to go away. Our first three games week was coming to an end this Friday at Krongard.

Our bees were exited to play St Paul. Exited mostly because after many games were they played without subs due to injuries, this game signed the return of many  bees. Some even were playing their first game of the season. The team moral was at its best.

But even with (almost) every lights being greens, St Paul stays a challenging squad to face. And our bees had to be prepare for what was our most challenging game of the season so far.

We accumulated experience with our 3-5-2 formation. The players were comfortable in their positioning. And for a good part of the first half, St Paul was running after the ball. Our bees stung twice in the first 25 minutes. But St Paul isn't considered one of our most dangerous opponent for no reason, and they pushed hard on counter attacks . St Paul eventually got a penalty at the last second of the half. Thanks to our goalie, the bees stayed in Front with a two goal lead at half 2-0.

Our team leader warn everyone to stay alert for the second half during the break talk. And they were right, St Paul pushed hard in the beginning of the second half. A well organized defense prevent any dangerous situation.
And after a few moment in our half, our Bees flew at 100 miles an hour to the other side of the field for their first counter attack goal of the season. A series of three passes in the perfect tempo killed the spirit of St Paul.

One last goal concluded this great afternoon. 4-0 at the final whistle.

If the result looks advantageous, one must admit that St Paul caused us some trouble. Hadn't it been for a great save on the PK and a great fighting spirit of our defense in the second half, it could have been a different outcome.

Great job Bees, and like for our homecoming, with three games in the week and as many victory, our Bees earned the right for a song.
