Our home house in the prairie

Hello Beekeepers,

After 10 long days of rain, our bees were finally able to leave the hive. 10 days during which the soccer boys had to practice in the gyms. They were all eager to spread their wings again. Don't get us wrong, it was fun to practice in a gym with fast ball and short fields. Ultimately, our players are like the bees, they like prairies: long stretches of flat grassland.

The question remaining was to know if all this open space would lose our bees after being indoor for so long. And playing Harford Day is always a challenge.
Adding to those challenges, many players caught a cold, and many more suffered injuries. Calvert A started the game with only two substitutes and many players covered new position on the field.

The first half was the reflection of all the challenges. While we kept possession for most of the half, we struggle to find the space in the boxes and were too shy to shoot from far. probably a reminiscence from those day in the small gym. 0-0 at half time.

But the reservoir of leadership in this team seems infinite. The players understood that they needed a more direct game to succeed. Soon, their commitment played and they took an early second half lead 2-0.

Harford Day kept us on our toe with a kick ball through our defense and the first at home goal against us of the season.

In a final effort, the bees stung one last time to kept the perfect record of the season.

Well done bees!
