Calvert vs Krieger Schecter

Calvert soccer returned to the pitch and let everyone know that we're ready to reclaim our title. Not even one minute into the game we had our first goal with Daly assisting to Tucker. A few minutes later, Borg played a long ball to Daly who got her name on the scoresheet and is now just four goal from becoming Calvert's all time (past decade or so) leading scorer! We went up 3-0 when Tobin fed the ball to Walton who finished it, and then 4-0 when KSDS scored an own goal. Within the last 5 minutes of the half, we scored twice more, with Filling getting her first and Tucker scoring a brace, but KSDS was able to pull one back just before half to give us a halftime lead of 6-1.
After halftime, we turned our focus to moving the ball, keeping possession, and seeing out the win. During that time, Green, Tobin, and Rodgers all scored. Green put it in off a rebound and Tobin made a great individual run to score. Rodgers scored hers after coming up from her normal central defense position to play striker for a bit at the end. KSDS scored two in the second half as well. One was an own goal from us to offset the own goal from earlier in the game, while the other came off a penalty shot after a hand ball in the box as the clock was running out. In the end, we won 9-3 and showed that while we're already a strong team, we still have lots of way we can get better as well. We'll be back in action on Wednesday against Jemicy!
